The gallery used the arts and education as catalysts for bringing people together, fostering dialogue, expanding access to culture, and promoting experiential understanding of identity.
During my time with Black Wall Street Gallery, I had the privilege of contributing to the organization's growth and development. As an art sales associate and graphic designer, I played a pivotal role in shaping the gallery's brand identity. My responsibilities included creating captivating flyers, crafting engaging social media materials, designing environmental graphics for events, designing & curating digital newsletters, developing the web presence, and capturing striking exhibition photography, among other tasks.

PRINT MATERIALS
I produced a range of items including business cards, certificates of authenticity, and more. With a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining a consistent brand voice, I ensured that each print material reflected the gallery's aesthetic and messaging.

EXHIBITION ANNOUNCEMENTS
Given the nature of the gallery, the exhibition flyers and created during my time served as vital tools for promoting upcoming events and engaging the audience. These designs were adapted to suit various modes of communication, including digital platforms such as social media, newsletters, as well as physical print. Adapting the design for different modes of communication required a keen understanding of the unique characteristics and constraints of each platform.

NEWSLETTERS
Newsletters played a pivotal role in providing vital updates to a broader audience beyond social media. By blending compelling visuals with engaging content, I successfully transformed the newsletters into dynamic and aesthetically pleasing pieces that captivated readers and enhanced their overall experience.

SOCIAL MEDIA PROMOTIONAL MATERIAL
Covering a range of content including gallery merchandise, fundraisers, and event promotions. Leveraging my design expertise, I crafted visually captivating graphics that effectively showcased the gallery's offerings and initiatives.

ENVIORMENTAL GRAPHICS
I took on the responsibility of designing environmental graphics for BWS Gallery, which encompassed various elements such as placards, wayfinding signs, and maps. By implementing a strong hierarchy and effective visual communication, I ensured that patrons could easily seek information and navigate the gallery space with ease.

WEB DESIGN
I designed the Black Wall Street Gallery website using Squarespace, creating an informative platform that showcased the gallery's shows, artists, and provided essential information. While I no longer have control over the current website design, my focus was on functionality, aesthetics, and effective communication during my involvement.

They were utilized across social media, the website, newsletters, and other digital channels to showcase the exhibitions, engage the audience, and generate interest.
