FREYA

The Personal Closet Assistant [Personal Project]

PROJECT DETAIL
Freya is a virtual assistant that is paired with an app that acts as a personal stylist and helps you get dressed everyday, log your wardrobe into your personal database, plan outfits, digitally try on clothes, and analyze your clothing usage/trends. In a world of overconsumption, particularly within the fashion industry, it's easy to keep buying without wearing what you already own. This often leads to following fads and trends instead of utilizing your own closet, perpetuating an unsustainable cycle of excessive spending and waste. Freya offers a unique solution to this problem by streamlining the process of getting dressed while making the most of what you already have.

BAO BAO Q

Chinese Barbecue Fusion [Personal Project]

PROJECT DETAIL
Bao Bao Q is a casual American barbecue and Chinese fusion restaurant that specializes in bite-size dumplings filled with typical American barbecue foods and flavors. This innovative concept creates a surprising smoky and mesquite twist on dishes that typically would not have this type of flavor palette. ISOMER MAGAZINE

The Intersection of Art & Science [Personal Project]

PROJECT DETAIL
ISOMER magazine explores the intersection of art and science by supporting and fostering an active exchange between scientific platforms of art and design to build connections, create shared experiences, spark collaboration, and envision futures. Isomers are molecules with the same molecular formula but different structures. Therefore, isomers contain the same number of atoms for each element, but they are built differently. Similarly, science and art explore the same fundamental questions: who we are, how we work, why we are here, and where we are going. Both art and science build models of human experience in order to extend the boundaries of human capacity.

The History & Impact of European Rave [Personal Project]

PROJECT DETAIL
Ravelations is an exhibition located in New York’s Brooklyn Museum that aims to recall Europe's forgotten rave culture history from the late 1980s to early 1990s. Rave culture was arguably Europe's last big youth movement, and this exhibition delves into its impact on culture and how the social, political, economic, and technological conditions of the time reflected the emergence of rave as a counterculture across Europe. Specifically, Ravelations examines the ideologies and aesthetics of rave.

INKED RESISTANCE

The Impact of Trans Zines on LGBTQ+ Visibility and Activism [Personal Project]

PROJECT DETAIL
As I delved into archival materials and explored design in activism, I worked to create a visually compelling and informative book that showcased my research findings.

Inked Resistance aims to address the crucial role of trans zines during the gay liberation movement in America. This journal presents a historical overview of the exclusion of trans individuals during the gay liberation movement and highlights the significance of trans zines in promoting visibility, community-building, and activism. It explores the different types of zines, from personal stories to political commentary, and showcases how these alternative media challenges dominated narratives about transness.
